Reprocessing Requirements for Vision Sciences® Flexible Endoscopes
Vision-Sciences endoscopy technology is designed to be fully compatible with conventional cleaning and disinfection routines. Our approved routines are validated through testing and cleared per FDA regulations.

Most Vision-Sciences endoscopic equipment is designed to use the EndoSheath® Technology, a sterile, disposable technology that provides a durable, protective barrier between the scope and patient. EndoSheath® Technology completely isolates our endoscopes from contact with patient materials, including blood and tissue.  Additionally, EndoSheath®  Technology incorporates a sterile, disposable channel for suction, irrigation, and tool passage, supporting a full range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

When using EndoSheath®  Technology, reprocessing routines are dramatically simplified and streamlined. By including disposable channels, ports, seals, and barriers, many difficult-to-clean aspects of conventional endoscopes do not exist with Vision-Sciences systems.

Vision-Sciences offers users a variety of reprocessing training and guidance tools, such as:

   • Well defined User’s Manuals and Instructions for Use
   • Wall charts with diagrams and pictures following a concise routine
   • Video
   • Certified Sales Representative In-service
