What is EndoSheath® Technology?
Vision Sciences® unique line of bronchoscopes utilizes the pioneering EndoSheath® Technology. The EndoSheath® Technology is a sterile, disposable sheath that covers the bronchoscope and completely isolates the bronchoscope from any patient contact. The sheath contains a sterile, disposable channel for suction and tool passage, and supports a full range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. An integrated, protective control body cover allows maximum usage of endoscope controls without contaminating the equipment.
How does EndoSheath® Technology work?
Prior to the procedure, the bronchoscope is placed inside a new, sterile sheath. Following the procedure, the bronchoscope is removed from the sheath, which is then discarded. The sheath eliminates the need for toxic, lengthy, high-level disinfection/sterilization routines between each patient. The result is safe, sterile technology for each patient and unparalleled equipment turnaround for the ICU. In fact, the bronchoscope does not even leave the ICU.
